Uses

is primarily used to lower levels of “bad“ cholesterol (low-density lipoprotein, or LDL) and triglycerides in the blood, while increasing levels of “good“ cholesterol (high-density lipoprotein, or HDL).
Prevention of Cardiovascular Disease: REVOSTATIN 10
is also used to prevent cardiovascular events such as heart attacks and strokes, especially in individuals who are at high risk of such events, even if their cholesterol levels are normal. This includes people with diabetes, hypertension, or a history of smoking.
Mechanism of Action
REVOSTATIN 10 works by inhibiting HMG-CoA reductase, an enzyme in the liver that plays a crucial role in the production of cholesterol. By blocking this enzyme, rosuvastatin reduces the overall production of cholesterol in the body, leading to a decrease in the amount of cholesterol that may deposit on the arterial walls.
