Montelukast is a leukotriene receptor antagonist used in the maintenance treatment of asthma and to relieve symptoms of seasonal allergies. It works by blocking the action of leukotrienes, which are chemicals in the body that contribute to inflammation, bronchoconstriction, and other symptoms associated with asthma and allergic rhinitis.
Levocetirizine is a second-generation antihistamine used to relieve symptoms of allergic rhinitis (hay fever), such as sneezing, runny or itchy nose, and itchy or watery eyes. It is also used to treat chronic idiopathic urticaria (hives) and other allergic skin conditions. Levocetirizine works by blocking the effects of histamine, a substance produced by the body during an allergic reaction.
Ambroxol is a mucolytic agent used to help loosen and thin mucus in the airways, making it easier to cough up. It is commonly used in the treatment of respiratory conditions associated with excessive mucus production, such as acute and chronic bronchitis, pneumonia, and bronchiectasis. Ambroxol works by stimulating the production of surfactant, a substance that helps keep the airways lubricated and facilitates the movement of mucus.
