Acebrophylline (200mg SR), Desloratadine (5mg), Montelukast (10mg)
Acebrophylline is a bronchodilator and mucolytic agent. It is commonly used in the management of respiratory conditions such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and asthma. Acebrophylline works by widening the airways in the lungs, making it easier to breathe, and by reducing the viscosity of mucus, making it easier to clear from the airways.
Desloratadine is a second-generation antihistamine that is used to relieve symptoms of allergic rhinitis (hay fever) and chronic idiopathic urticaria (hives). It works by blocking the action of histamine, a substance in the body that causes allergic symptoms such as sneezing, itching, and runny nose. Desloratadine provides relief from these symptoms without causing drowsiness, which is a common side effect of some first-generation antihistamines.
Montelukast is a leukotriene receptor antagonist used for the maintenance treatment of asthma and to relieve symptoms of seasonal allergies. Montelukast works by blocking the action of leukotrienes, substances in the body that contribute to inflammation, bronchoconstriction, and mucus production in the airways. By blocking leukotrienes, montelukast helps to reduce inflammation and prevent asthma symptoms such as wheezing, coughing, and shortness of breath.
